Anonymous: If Sony Screws With Gamers Again Then Expect Us

Anonymous has shown that they are on the gamers’ side by stating if Sony ever screws with gamers again then they should expect the group once more; who also made clear that the attack would be personal this time.

While there has been much speculation as to whether Anonymous did or didn’t have a part in the PlayStation Network’s current outage, the group has expressed that they are indeed on gamers’ side and that if Sony ever dares to screw with gamers again, then they can expect the hacking group.

They said in a recent IRC chat:

Sony, and most major corporations in general care more about profits than their customers. While that’s not necessarily wrong, Anonymous dislikes it when Sony thinks they can screw over people. If Sony dares to screw with gamers again, or anyone that Anonymous emphasizes with, They can expect us again. Very, very, soon. And if they decide to that’s it’s within their best interests to be sociopaths and do something retarded, this time, it will be personal. And Anonymous will not take it lightly the second time around.

Yeah so now Anonymous are making threats against a company that don’t charge it’s gamers ( even though they could do ) for online gaming and you think that threats are ok to do. ( Go and bug MS with XBL due to charging gamers to play online even when gamers already pay for online usage )

You think that Doss attacking, companies, ect to get your own way is ok. Then you have the cheek to say ( it’s for our rights )..GTFO of here already.

Anonymous breaks all the rules and regs- under the sun and moan when Sony takes people to court they know when those people broke the SYSTEM SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT of the PS3 system. ( Which clearly states hardware and software ).

Anonymous’s credibility just went down the pan with this one.

Since when are Sony screwing with gamers? Anonymous can’t even write properly (emphasizes?! I think they mean empathise ;) ) – but if we’re takling screwing, then the place to start is Anon. They’re an organisation that emphasizes (this is the context to use that word in :P ) freedom of information, and yet we know so little about them we don’t know exactly how much BS they’re feeding us. Which is a whole ‘nother level of Anon BS, when you think about it. All I know is that the PSN started experiencing intermittent trouble shortly after Anon claimed they would be attacking Sony, and since then we’ve heard people claiming to be Anon stating that they both did and didn’t do it. Riiiighht….. If Anon really did make all the information they have available to them free, as per their philosophy, we’d actually know which of their base-level statements were BS. Pity they have the high-level BS in full swing as well.

Anon are internet vandals, spouting incoherent and internally inconsistent philosophy (which they themselves do not hold by). They deserve no sympathy, and no support for their current behaviour (of course, they deserve general care and support as all humans do).

Blacking out PSN to the point where Sony has to black it out AGAIN to make sure you guys stay out, to defend rights WE DON’T HAVE. Come on, these guys are a bunch of 17-23 year old hackers who just want to get famous and support hacking and piracy.

I hate these punks. Imagine a couple, playfully pushing each other. These losers are that weird creepy kid who runs over and breaks it up. We don’t NEED or WANT you sticking up for us. Even on IGN, a great article was written. To sum it up, you guys support the vast minority, and while doing so, you hurt the vast majority. You never had those rights in the first place. Did you even read the terms and agreements?

So Sony brings down PSN in defense of you guys and to beef up security against… you guys…. And if they do it again you’ll attack PSN…

You gotta be kidding me. Anonymous, seriously, leave us out of it. I have lost any respect I have had for your crusade.

Your not fighting for people like me. Your fighting for people like you, your fighting for hackers. You made it clear the first time you brought down PSN that we weren’t on the same team.

This… is on the side of the gamers? By not allowing the gamers that you are “defending” to access a part of the console that makes up 50% of the playing experience of most games in said console?

If you are going to carry out your personal vendettas about not hurting gamers, how about not hurting the gamers yourself by attacking the PSN service and hindering people from playing the games they purchased online…

Well I concur with the majority of the comments above. I am already sick of this so called ‘Anonymous’. Just who the hell do they think they are, what they are doing is nothing at all short of terroristic behaviour which I think the world has seen more than enough of.

Please ‘Anonymous’, and any other bloody hackers out there, just stop it now.

    It’s seriously boring.

I don’t want to be sided with a bunch of stupid kids with no clear or consistent moral stance to back up their actions.

All I want to do is while I wait for my bananas in the oven to bake, I want to play online and watch over my bananas cooking in the oven simultaniously. I use a 13 inch Zenith TV, produced in 1991, I have resting on my kitchen counter with a lawn chair in front of the oven so I can perform the said task smoothly – but now cant because of this outage caused by someones decision to intrude–Son of a sandwich!

So called “hacktivists” are simply fooling themselves into believing they can solve anything.
You do nothing more than hurt your own cause when you attack.

Calling anyone sociopathic when your group comes together anonymously to attack others is ironic.
