Dallas law enforcement officer positioned on leave immediately after allegedly killing cat

A Dallas law enforcement officer was placed on administrative leave by his section immediately after he allegedly killed a cat in distress even though on duty, The Dallas Morning Information claimed.

The Dallas Law enforcement Division (DPD) stated at a news conference that its officers responded to a phone of a domestic disturbance just following midnight on Aug. 21.

The DPD claimed 1 of their officers spotted a distressed cat at the scene and killed it right away, in accordance to the information outlet. 

The report did not show why the cat was in distress or if the cat belonged to a person in the area. The police office also did not disclose the identify of the law enforcement officer involved in the killing, but stated that law enforcement is conducting an investigation into the subject. 

The information of cat’s killing comes right after the DPD placed a group of officers on administrative leave previous week after a dozen had been allegedly identified to be included in a pyramid scheme, the Morning Information reported.

The office said their preliminary investigation of the pyramid plan will lead to the arrest of 1 officer, in accordance to a memo attained by the newspaper. The 11 other officers will have their cases referred to a grand jury to establish if they really should be billed, in accordance to the paper.
